Trevor Bauer Signs Lucrative Deal with Los Angeles Dodgers
Three-Year, $102 Million Contract Includes Player Options

The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed former Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer to a three-year, $102 million contract, according to multiple reports. The deal includes player options for both the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Bauer, who won the National League Cy Young Award with the Cincinnati Reds in 2020, is considered one of the top pitchers in baseball. The right-hander posted a 1.73 ERA and 12.2 strikeouts per nine innings last season.
The Dodgers are hoping that Bauer can help them return to the World Series after losing in the NL Division Series to the Atlanta Braves in 2020. Bauer is expected to join a rotation that already includes Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, and Julio Urias.
The signing of Bauer is the latest in a series of big moves by the Dodgers this offseason. The team has also signed former NL MVP Cody Bellinger to a long-term extension and traded for catcher JT Realmuto from the Philadelphia Phillies.
With the addition of Bauer, the Dodgers are now considered one of the favorites to win the World Series in 2021.
